Indian films rank among the highest-grossing films in the world in 2022. They generate hundreds of millions of dollars worldwide and at regional box offices. With more and more individuals interested in discovering Indian cinema, the film business has recently resurged.
1. Chapter 2 of K.G.F.
K.G.F: Chapter 2 has become 2022’s most popular movie. Around 1200–1500 crores were made by the movie worldwide. The story, which takes set in the 1920s, focuses on the undocumented time in each revolutionaries’ lives when they both choose to live peaceful lives before going to war for their country.

Bhootha Kola and Kambla culture are involved in Kantara. In a conflict between humans and nature, Shiva is a rebel who stands up for his village and the environment. 4. Ponniyin Selvan

6. Brahmastra: Shiva, Part 1
The film, which draws inspiration from Hindu mythology, centres on Shiva, an orphan with pyrokinetic skills who discovers that he is an astra—a weapon of enormous energy. Shiva is also a pyrokinetic. He works to prevent the Brahmsstra, the most powerful of the astras, from falling into the hands of malevolent forces with whom he has a common history. According to projections, the film would have earned over 431 crores globally, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022 and the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of the same year.
7. Kashmir Files
The fictional storyline of the film centres on the 1990s exodus of Hindu Kashmiris from Indian-run Kashmir. The plot revolves around a Kashmiri Hindu college student who was raised by his grandfather in exile and kept in the dark about the circumstances behind the passing of his parents. After his grandfather passes away, the college student, who had come to believe that the exodus was peaceful, is inspired to find out the truth about his family’s demise. The student’s search in 2020 and his family’s difficulties in the preceding 30 years are alternately shown in the plot. The second-highest grossing Hindi film of 2022 is ranked as Kashmir Files.
8. Bhulaiya Bhool 2
A stand-alone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiya is available (2007). In order to deal with Manjulika’s return—a vengeful ghost hell-bent on retaliating against the Thakur family—Ruhaan Randhawa must pretend to be a false psychic. Strangers Reet and Ruhan’s journey brings them to an abandoned mansion where they encounter a scary spirit that has been imprisoned there for 18 years. 9. Sarkaru Vaari Paata
The main character of the story Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Mahi, believes that everyone should practise sound financial management. What happens when he meets Rajendranath, who doesn’t value money much. The person Mahi loves deceives him. in an effort to recoup his funds from Rajendranath, her father, a strong MP. Despite receiving poor reviews, the movie ended up being one of the most successful Telugu movies of 2022.
10. Drishyam 2
Drishyam 2, which just recently came out, is already the fourth-highest grossing Hindi movie of 2022. Adapted from the original 2021 Malayalam film, which also acts as a prelude to the 2015 film Drishyam. Drishyam was itself adapted from the matching 2013 Malayalam film.
